With the Fall Semester in full swing, law students are not the only ones who will want to get straight A’s – please join the Appellate Practice Section on September 13, 2019, for our Annual Meeting and CLE:

Getting Straight A’s: Aids, Accessible Applications, Advice and Approaches to Advocacy

Friday, September 13, 2019
North Carolina Bar Center
8000 Weston Parkway
Cary, NC 27513

Angela Farag Craddock and M. Duane Jones have put together an incredible program this year that offers valuable advice for appellate practitioners of all skill levels. We are fortunate to have an impressive lineup of presentations on topics, including:

  • How to use visual aids effectively during oral arguments;
  • Mastering your technology to automate documents and protect sensitive data;
  • Improving your legal writing in appellate filings; and
  • Practical strategies for maintaining civility.

We will also close the day with our annual mainstays: perspectives from the North Carolina Court of Appeals Clerk’s Office and the “Do’s and Don’ts in the North Carolina Appellate Courts” presented by Justice Davis and Judge Stroud. The program will provide 6 total CLE credits, including 1.00 Ethics/Professional Responsibility credit and 1.00 Technology Training credit.

Take a look at the program brochure for more information, and you can register online for the CLE and Annual Meeting here. Early bird discounts end today, so do not delay.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
